The recent landmark Supreme Court decision Bostock v. Clayton County, Georgia<\/em> is historic and will last generations, labor rights legal expert William B. Gould argues.<\/p>\n

In their decision<\/a>, the Court<\/a> confirmed that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964<\/a>, which prohibits employment discrimination \u201cbecause of sex,\u201d applies to discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.<\/p>\n

Here, Gould, a professor of law emeritus at Stanford University Law School who also served as chairman of the National Labor Relations Board from 1994-1998, explains the case and its implications:<\/p>\n
