{"id":40899,"date":"2021-11-11T17:39:16","date_gmt":"2021-11-11T17:39:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/forocilac.org\/?p=40899"},"modified":"2021-11-16T14:10:59","modified_gmt":"2021-11-16T14:10:59","slug":"17-11-encuentro-cilac-sobre-conocimientos-indigenas-y-protocolos-comunitarios","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/forocilac.org\/en\/17-11-encuentro-cilac-sobre-conocimientos-indigenas-y-protocolos-comunitarios\/","title":{"rendered":"11\/17 CILAC MEETING on indigenous knowledge and community protocols"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This November 17, the CILAC Forum will hold the meeting on \u201cIndigenous knowledge and community protocols\u201d, which aims to highlight the importance of recognizing community protocols as crisis management frameworks based on indigenous knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>It is proposed to address some aspects related to the importance of self-governance, biosafety measures, community monitoring, mitigation, dissemination of information and dialogues and decision making\u2014all within the framework of indigenous knowledge and intercultural dialogues\u2014that the indigenous authorities organized , activated, and implemented through community protocols.<\/p>\n<p>The panelists will share their experiences on the matter, identify the specific challenges they see to defend and strengthen the strategies presented, and offer recommendations for action for consideration within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.<\/p>\n<p><b><span lang=\"es\">Liberty Pinto <\/span><\/b><span lang=\"es\">(<\/span><span lang=\"es\">Member of the Regional Observatory of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples of FILAC), <\/span><b><span lang=\"es\">Vivian Camacho <\/span><\/b><span lang=\"es\">(General Director of Traditional Medicine. Ministry of Health and Sports of Bolivia), <\/span><b><span lang=\"es\">Yidid Jhohana Ramos Montero\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"es\">(<\/span>Traditional Woman, leader of the Kankuamo people Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta Seynikun Northern zone of Colombia) address these issues, with the moderation of <strong>Yolanda L\u00f3pez-Maldonado<\/strong> (UNESCO).
