On December 3, in the auditorium of the Faculty of Information and Communication of the University of the Republic (Montevideo, Uruguay), the\u00a0Scientific Events<\/b>, a Latin American science news program organized by the UNESCO Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean within the framework of the celebrations of its 70th anniversary in the Region.<\/p>\n

We are, among others, genes, systems and data... but where are we and where are we going with what we don't know?<\/p>\n

Spokespersons from science and scientific journalism spoke with the public about the complex challenges that artificial intelligence, gene editing and data science pose to us today within the framework of the\u00a0Right to Science of all individuals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A live news<\/strong>, intended for the general public, to listen and debate together about it.<\/p>\n

It was an attempt to collectively deconstruct and construct the Right to Science in an open manner with a wide variety of interlocutors from across the Latin American region. We reflect together on the latest discoveries in these areas and the dizzying processes they trigger, in particular we imagine steps to follow from our citizen and professional capacity to intervene inherent paradigms.<\/p>\n

Science communication and scientific journalism are one of our priorities and we are convinced of their relevant role in building an active scientific citizenry. Working hard to disseminate, clarify and defend this human right is everyone's task. It is important to add partners to the cause.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
