This Thursday he accompanied the President of the Government, Pedro S\u00e1nchez, in the presentation of a <a href=\"https:\/\/elpais.com\/ciencia\/2020-07-09\/pedro-sanchez-presenta-un-plan-de-choque-con-1000-millones-de-euros-para-impulsar-la-ciencia-espanola.html\">\u201cshock plan\u201d<\/a> with more than 1,000 million euros in two years to promote Spanish science. He <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ciencia.gob.es\/stfls\/MICINN\/Ministerio\/FICHEROS\/Plan_de_choque_para_la_Ciencia_y_la_Innovacion.pdf\">official document<\/a> makes a devastating diagnosis of the current situation, after a decade of cuts and paralyzing bureaucracy.
