The second edition of CILAC Forum<\/strong> It will be held on October 22, 23 and 24 at the Wyndham Panam\u00e1 Albrook Hotel, in Panama City. For its opening,
\nThe President of the Republic of Panama, Juan Carlos Varela, and the Director General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay, are invited.<\/p>\n

The Forum has parallel events in the City of Knowledge and activities open to citizens in what will be the Latin American capital of science for that week.<\/p>\n

Within this week, other important events in the scientific and technological field will be held together with CILAC. One of them is Imaginatec, the scientific fair of youth ingenuity and the other is the XVIII National Congress of Science and Technology, organized by APANAC. The Open Science Forum, unique in Latin America and the Caribbean, brings together leaders to debate and contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, the three main axes will be: sustainable cities, resilient territories and bioeconomy. On them will be developed
\nvarious activities.<\/p>\n

The Forum will have more than 60 thematic and high-level sessions made up of international experts, Ministers and other actors in policy decision-making. During the Forum, a series of policy briefs will be presented for discussion, which will be available on the page. And each day will feature a keynote speaker and a plenary panel discussion at the opening and closing.<\/p>\n

In parallel to the Forum, nearly 20 activities will be developed, from informal talks to workshops given by international experts, with the participation of European, Latin American and North American scientific organizations. Most of these events will take place in the City of Knowledge, a few kilometers from the hotel where the forum is held.<\/p>\n

In turn, with the aim of promoting interaction between science and citizens, the mayor of Panama City will be organizing, together with CILAC, open science and technology activities in the city, designed for the general public to take part and observe the aspect daily life of science.<\/p>\n
