{"id":77354,"date":"2024-08-30T14:08:50","date_gmt":"2024-08-30T14:08:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forocilac.org\/?p=77354"},"modified":"2024-10-19T20:30:28","modified_gmt":"2024-10-19T20:30:28","slug":"inteligencia-artificial-uno-de-los-ejes-convocantes-del-foro-cilac-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forocilac.org\/en\/inteligencia-artificial-uno-de-los-ejes-convocantes-del-foro-cilac-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Artificial intelligence: one of the main themes of the CILAC 2024 Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CILAC busca abordar la tem\u00e1tica, sus desaf\u00edos y oportunidades desde una perspectiva regional, y pone a disposici\u00f3n diversos insumos de cara a la cuarta edici\u00f3n del Foro, a realizarse del 2 al 4 de diciembre en Colombia.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inteligencia artificial para la sostenibilidad ambiental<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is one of the central themes of the <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/forocilac.org\/en\/cilac2024\/\"><b>fourth edition of the CILAC Forum<\/b><\/a><\/span><b><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"> 2024<\/span>, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and will be addressed through various high-level sessions, thematic sessions, and side events. During this international meeting, ministers, various authorities, young people, scientists, journalists, and science leaders from the region will gather to advance the development of public policies on science, technology, and innovation, with this being one of the key themes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Inteligencia Artificial (IA) est\u00e1 transformando radicalmente todos los aspectos de la sociedad, desde lo econ\u00f3mico hasta lo cultural, lo cient\u00edfico y lo pol\u00edtico. Su avance genera tanto expectativas de una era de prosperidad como preocupaciones sobre su impacto en la autonom\u00eda humana y la equidad social. La IA no solo automatiza tareas y mejora la toma de decisiones, sino que tambi\u00e9n plantea interrogantes \u00e9ticos y de sostenibilidad. La Conferencia General de la UNESCO, consciente de estos desaf\u00edos, aprob\u00f3 en 2021 por unanimidad la Recomendaci\u00f3n sobre la \u00c9tica de la IA, con el objetivo de guiar su desarrollo de manera que respete los derechos humanos y se base en principios \u00e9ticos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pero\u2026 \u00bfQu\u00e9 es realmente la IA? \u00bfDe qu\u00e9 est\u00e1 hecha? \u00bfD\u00f3nde y cu\u00e1ndo la usamos? \u00bfQu\u00e9 l\u00edmites tiene en la actualidad? \u00bfC\u00f3mo puede aportar a la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible? \u00bfC\u00f3mo puede beneficiarse Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe? \u00bfQu\u00e9 importancia tiene en la regi\u00f3n el v\u00ednculo entre IA y pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To answer these questions, and to provide a roadmap, UNESCO, through the CILAC Forum, has launched a new Policy Brief entitled <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/unesdoc.unesco.org\/ark:\/48223\/pf0000391087\"><b>What we talk about when we talk about artificial intelligence<\/b><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, under the authorship of <\/span><b>Mar\u00eda Vanina Mart\u00ednez<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, investigadora CSIC, Espa\u00f1a, Premio Konex 2023 en Ciencias de la Informaci\u00f3n e IA.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In turn, in the #CienciaEnMovimiento Colloquium Cycle, which CILAC holds every month, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">el mi\u00e9rcoles 28 de agosto, Mar\u00eda Vanina Mart\u00ednez, junto con Natalia Gonz\u00e1lez (experta en \u00e9tica de la IA, pol\u00edtica tecnol\u00f3gica e inclusi\u00f3n), y Cristina Mart\u00ednez Pinto (directora y fundadora de PIT Policy Lab) abordaron estos temas, con la moderaci\u00f3n de Guillermo Anll\u00f3 (UNESCO). <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/forocilac.org\/en\/28-ago-inteligencia-artificial-y-politicas-publicas\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Learn more about the meeting here.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"28 AUG | Artificial Intelligence and Public Policy\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1x8UEHGTkzM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los coloquios junto a los policy brief que se producen en el marco de CILAC constituyen un acervo de conocimiento que busca apoyar la gesti\u00f3n de la ciencia y la tecnolog\u00eda en Latinoam\u00e9rica y el Caribe, a partir de compartir conocimiento y experiencias sobre los temas que componen la agenda de pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas de ciencia y tecnolog\u00eda<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&quot;, says Guillermo Anll\u00f3, Coordinator of the CILAC Forum.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The series of <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"http:\/\/forocilac.org\/en\/documentos-publicaciones\/\"><b>CILAC Forum Policy Brief<\/b><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It contains more than 20 documents prepared by renowned experts in their respective fields of knowledge, intended to serve as guidance to countries in the region in their search for answers to the emerging challenges of the present and future of our countries. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This series of documents, together with the virtual colloquia of the cycle <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/forocilac.org\/en\/ciencia-en-movimiento\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Science in motion<\/span><\/i><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> que se realizan cada mes, son una de las tantas iniciativas de CILAC, que apuntalan la agenda de temas a ser debatidos en el Foro cada dos a\u00f1os.
