The government of Pedro Sánchez is going to restructure Spain's public research organizations (PROs). According to the plan, the National Institute of Oceanography, the Geological and Mining Institute (IGME), and the National Institute of Agricultural and Food Research and Technology (INIA) will become "national centers within the structure of the National Research Council (CSIC)," according to information provided today by Science Minister Pedro Duque to the directors of the three affected organizations, which this newspaper has had access to.
