Daniela is three years old. She's a cheerful and lively girl who loves to dance and sing. At first glance, it's hard to imagine the journey the little girl and her family have taken since she came into the world. She was born with a 10-centimeter tumor called congenital fibrosarcoma. It's usually cured with surgery, but in her case, it was inoperable because it was in an aneurysm in her abdominal aorta. They also couldn't treat her with chemotherapy or radiation therapy because, according to her doctor, she wouldn't survive it. Antonio PérezHer pediatrician found a treatment, administered as a syrup, that cured the girl in just a few months. Three years after Daniela's death, four more children have benefited from the same treatment.
