Since 1998, UNESCO and the L'ORÉAL Business Foundation have been committed to promoting the work carried out by women scientists who contribute to addressing humanity's challenges, recognizing their value and providing the means to continue their research.

The award “For Women in Science” It has rewarded more than 102 scientists from 30 countries, three of whom received the Nobel Prize, and has awarded more than 3,100 scholarships to young people from 115 countries.
