2019 was declared the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements, celebrating 150 years since Dmitri I. Mendeleev created the periodic system in 1869.
Throughout the year, we invite scientists, artists and communicators to present their cultural pieces linked to some of the elements of the periodic table. We received more than 90 proposals from applicants from various areas, regions and ages.
