The LATU Technology Park is an organization founded in 1965 as a result of the joint work of the official and private sectors. Its original name was the Analysis Laboratory and Testing. This was changed on the 28th August 1975 to its current name, Technological Laboratory of Uruguay.
Mission
Promote sustainable development in Uruguay and its international insertion, through innovation and transfer of value solutions in analytical services, metrological, technological, managerial and conformity assessment in accordance with applicable regulations.
Administration
LATU Technology Park is a entity of non-state public law. Its administration has a directory composed of:
- A representative of the Executive (Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining), held by the presidency
- A representative of the Chamber of Industries of Uruguay
- A representative of the Bank of the Republic of Uruguay
