3D printing and muscle cells: the formula for new living robots

A group of Spanish researchers from Bioengineering Institute of Catalonia (IBEC) has developed a new generation of biobots (robots with part of their anatomy artificial and another composed of cells) with the ability to self-train, swim and move 791 times faster than the current generation. The future applications of these robots can open numerous doors in fields such as drug administration, the development of prostheses or in the environmental cleanup.
