The Malalmuerzo Cave (Moclín, Granada) welcomed its first inhabitants 30,000 years ago. There, generations of Homo sapiens, probably descendants of each other, for 18,000 years. That is the estimate of Pedro Cantalejo, researcher of cave painting and retired conservative from another cave, Ardales, in MalagaThe Granada cave became a refuge for numerous generations of sapiens during the approximate 5,000 years of the last ice age that devastated Europe, between 23,000 and 19,000 years ago.
