What is the difference between hypothesis, law and theory in science?

Within the scientific method one of the key elements is the formulation of a hypothesis. For example: something falls to the ground, and it falls to the ground here and there, things always fall to the ground. Someone at one point wondered why this was happening and formulated a first tentative explanation for the fact they were observing. That is a hypothesis, an explanation that the observer gives for a certain phenomenon or problem and that is generally based on previous experience, the scientific knowledge that he or she has and observations about that fact, which in turn, many times, depend on the method. with which it is being analyzed.
