CILAC EVENT on Bioeconomy and sustainable production

By 29/11/2020 News

Don't miss the new CILAC virtual event on December 9 at 5 p.m. (URU, ARG, BRA)

The current consumption and production patterns in the world today are, according to most analyses, unsustainable.

How can we move towards a more “biological” vision and approach to development challenges? How can our region benefit from a regional strategy within the framework of the new Bioeconomy, to add local value and generate new opportunities?

We convene experts and institutions with qualified experience in bioeconomy, with the objective of presenting a current overview of the initiatives in this field in the region, identifying the challenges they envision to advance the paradigm shift, and offering recommendations for action to promote a regional Bioeconomy strategy as sustainable production within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.

Hugo Chavarria, Manager of the Bioeconomy and Productive Development Program of IICA, moderates this Colloquium, with the participation of Marilia Faria (Sebrae), Miguel Almada (Probiomass), Claudia Betancur (Biointropic) and Daniel Dominguez-Gomez (Allbiotech).
