Japan launches a telescope to study black holes and a probe on the way to the Moon at the same time

New instruments, which allow us to peer into previously inaccessible parts of the cosmos, are the first step toward unraveling its secrets. On Thursday morning in Japan (1:42 a.m. CEST), JAXA, the Japanese space agency, launched a mission from the Tanegashima Space Center. has launched XRISM and SLIM into space as planned. These two probes will help answer questions about the universe on a grand scale, but also about nearby worlds like the Moon.
