Warming reaches the coldest region of the planet

The geographical South Pole does not escape global warming. Located on the Antarctic plateau, the coldest region on the planet has been warming for three decades and is doing so at a rate triple the average for the planet. Researchers now link this anomaly to changes in ocean winds that bring warmer, more humid air to the interior of Antarctica. What scientists do not agree on is the distribution of responsibilities for this alteration between natural change and climate change caused by humans.
