CILAC VIRTUAL MEETING on science and politics

By 10/08/2021 News

What is the importance of the dialogue between scientific knowledge and political decision? How do their logics and approaches differ and complement each other?

From the CILAC Forum we invite recognized panelists from the region to a virtual meeting to address these questions and offer recommendations for action to promote this dialogue within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.

They participate Federico Burone (IDRC Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean), Guido Girardi (Senator of Chile) and Lidia Brito (Regional Director of the UNESCO Science Office for Latin America and the Caribbean).

This meeting is part of the #CienciaEnMovimiento cycle of the CILAC Forum: a series of monthly meetings in which relevant topics for the development of the region are addressed. The third edition of the CILAC Forum, CILAC 2021, was held virtually in the month of April, with the participation of more than 7 thousand people from around the world.
