Is this the first meteorite crater discovered in Spain? The complex case of the impact in the Tabernas Desert

About eight million years ago, near what is now Alhabia, a small town in Almería, the Earth may have suffered a meteorite impact that created a four-kilometer crater and caused the ground to collapse for another 20 kilometers around it. The force of the impact must have been such that it exceeded the pressure at the bottom of the Mariana Trench by 200 times. It would have been the first impact crater discovered in Spain (aside from a controversial case in Azuara, Zaragoza). But its discoverers still have to convince many of their discovery, starting with the owners of a quarry located above the crater. The passage of time has buried the most obvious evidence.
