Who will receive the first vaccines against covid?

There will be no vaccine against covid-19 for everyone from the beginning and the process can take several years. Rafael Vilasanjuan, director of Analysis and Development of the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) and member of the board of directors of Gavi (the global alliance for vaccination), explains that, for now, global production capacity is 2 billion doses per year. The world population reaches 7.5 billion people at “equal risk,” according to the expert, although some countries are more affected by their economic situation and government logistics. In the best case scenario, we can have 250 million vaccine doses per month if manufacturing is increased.
