This October 20, the CILAC Forum will hold the meeting on “Open Science in Latin America and the Caribbean” together with recognized authorities from the region. This virtual event of the #CienciaEnMovimiento cycle proposes a space to follow up on the regional Consultation held in September 2020 on the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science, carried out by UNESCO Montevideo with the support of the CILAC Forum.
The importance of open science will be addressed as a framework and mechanism to conceive the right to science, and work for sustainable development and inclusion, to leave no one behind. Some of its critical axes are part of the regional agenda: how to promote open access, the management of open data, the link between citizens and science.
Ignasi Labastida (UB), Claudia Medeiros (UNICAMP) and Noela Invernizzi (UFPR) will address these topics, moderated by Daniel Samoilovich (Columbus).
LIVE – OCT 20 5 p.m. ARG/URU/BRA – 3 p.m. PER/COL
