CILAC: The Open Science Forum for Latin America and the Caribbean embodies the values of World Science Day for Peace and Development in many ways. CILAC seeks to create a platform that aims to do exactly that, use science as a tool for global understanding and global sustainability. Through its commitment to multidirectional and wide-ranging dialogue, CILAC wants to use scientific knowledge and experience as a tool to address some of the challenges of Latin America and the Caribbean.
